Roederplatz

Fennpfuhl

Named after Hermann Roeder, a landowner and local politician of Lichtenberg.

Hermann Roeder (1856–1941) owned the former manor of Lichtenberg and its land until the late 19th century. The square was named around 1896. When the Fennpfuhl estate was built, square and name were abolished in 1975, but the name lived on in local memory. In 2011, at the request of Roeder’s heirs, the name was given to a small green space nearby.
