Named after two streets that recall towns in Saxony-Anhalt: Stendal and Quedlinburg.
Stendaler Straße was named in 1985 after the district town of Stendal, Quedlinburger Straße in 1987 after Quedlinburg. Many streets of the new Hellersdorf estates were named after places in the GDR regions from which the building workers came.
