Named after Westphalweg, which honours Mariendorf's first full-time village head.
Wilhelm Hugo Westphal (1859–1925) was the first full-time Gemeindevorsteher (head of the municipality) of Mariendorf, from 1900 to 1911, when it was still a rural municipality. The street was named after him in 1931. The station under Mariendorfer Damm opened on 28 February 1966; unusually, its two northern entrances are built into residential buildings.
