'Kofferfabrick' means copper factory.
'Koffer' can also mean suitcase, but here it is copper. Around 1906 Emile Dupret opened a copper foundry here, making moulds and fittings mainly for blast furnaces in Luxembourg and abroad. The building stands roughly where the mill of Bonnevoie's medieval convent once turned. Production ended in 1980; since 1988 it has housed the city's traffic department.
