Named after the Rotondes, two round railway sheds.
Built in the 1870s to service steam locomotives, each roundhouse is 52 metres across and could hold 18 engines. A new depot at Howald made them redundant in 1907. Listed as national monuments in 1991, they were renovated by the city and reopened in 2015 as a cultural centre.
