Kierch (Cents)

'Kierch' is Luxembourgish for church: here, the Holy Spirit church of Cents.

Its foundation stone was laid on 15 May 1976, and Bishop Jean Hengen consecrated it at Pentecost, 25 May 1980, making it one of the youngest churches in Luxembourg. Architects Michel Mousel and Edouard Stein planned it after the Second Vatican Council's liturgical reform, and Théo Kerg made its glass-concrete windows and furnishings.
