Porte de Pantin

Paris 19e

Named after the Porte de Pantin, the gate that opened on the town of Pantin.

The gate stood on the old road to Germany, today's avenue Jean-Jaurès. Since 1987 the station has been subtitled Parc de la Villette, after the park built on the site of the old slaughterhouses. It opened in 1942.
