Named after the eastern access to Wien Hauptbahnhof, Vienna's main station.
The station was built on the site of the old Südbahnhof and officially opened on 10 October 2014; it gave Vienna a main station for the first time in its history. Karl-Popper-Straße runs under the tracks here and gives the platforms their eastern (‘Ost’) entrance.
