Hohen Neuendorf

Named after Hohen Neuendorf, renamed to tell it apart from Nieder Neuendorf.

The village was first recorded in 1349 as Nygendorf. It was later renamed Hohen Neuendorf to distinguish it from the village of Neuendorf further down the Havel, today Nieder Neuendorf. The station opened in 1877, was moved south in 1924 and has carried the addition ‘b Berlin’ (near Berlin) since 1928.
