Bounds Green

Haringey

Named after the le Bounde family, who owned the land here in the 13th century.

Their name lived on in Bounds Green Farm, near today's Cline Road, about 500 metres north-west of the station. While the Piccadilly line extension was being planned, the names Wood Green North and Brownlow Road were considered for the station but rejected. It opened as Bounds Green in 1932.
