'Gare routière' is French for bus station.
The bus station lies by Dommeldange railway station, once an important station on the northern line. While the Dommeldange ironworks was running, iron ore arrived here by rail, and finished steel left from here for the rest of the country and abroad. Heavy coke trains took on an extra locomotive here before the steep 13 ‰ climb to Luxembourg’s main station.
