Adam Frans van der Meulen (1632–1690), painter.
Born in Brussels, this Flemish painter became a court painter of Louis XIV and went with the king on his journeys and wars. He painted two pictures of the French siege of Luxembourg in 1684, now in the Louvre and at Versailles, and the Villa Vauban holds his plan of the city. A street in Dommeldange was named after him in 1952.
